Coppola has officially tapped rising stars Jacob Elordi (Euphoria) and Cailee Spaeny (Mare of Easttown) for the respective leading roles of Elvis and Priscilla Presley. Elordi’s casting comes on the heels of Austin Butler’s widely-praised portrayal of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll in Baz Luhrmann’s hit Elvis biopic. Production is expected to begin this fall in Toronto.
Priscilla will be directed and written by Sofia Coppola, who has been trying to develop the project for quite some time now. The 1985 bestselling memoir is an intimate account of Priscilla Presley’s life with Elvis.
