Jojo Moyes’ recent novel, One Plus One, is heading to the big screen. The Hollywood Reporter today brings word that New Line Cinema has plans to adapt the bestseller as a feature film.
Published early last month, One Plus One is officially described as follows:
Suppose your life sucks. A lot. Your husband has done a vanishing act, your teenage stepson is being bullied, and your math whiz daughter has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you cant afford to pay for. Thats Jesss life in a nutshelluntil an unexpected knight in shining armor offers to rescue them. Only Jesss knight turns out to be Geeky Ed, the obnoxious tech millionaire whose vacation home she happens to clean. But Ed has big problems of his own, and driving the dysfunctional family to the Math Olympiad feels like his first unselfish act in ages… maybe ever.
Moyes is attached to adapt the screenplay herself. Her previous novel, Me Before You is, meanwhile, in development at MGM for release on August 21, 2015.
