Following The Beatles: Get Back’s Disney+ debut last November, Walt Disney Studios has announced that the legendary band’s rooftop concert will be officially heading to theaters later this month. The Beatles’ last concert has been set as a 60-minute feature that will premiere on January 30, 2022, exclusively in select IMAX theaters.
In celebration of the landmark performance’s 53rd anniversary, the event will also be including a filmmaker Q&A, which will be broadcast via satellite simultaneously to all connected IMAX locations. Attendees will also be given exclusive mini-posters.

The Beatles: Get Back – The Rooftop Concert will be optimized for IMAX screens, digitally remastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience with proprietary IMAX DMR (Digital Remastering) technology. Following the theatrical event, it will then run from February 11-13, 2022.

Acclaimed filmmaker Peter Jackson’s The Beatles: Get Back is a unique cinematic experience that takes audiences back in time to The Beatles’ intimate recording sessions during a pivotal moment in music history. The docuseries showcases The Beatles’ creative process as they attempt to write 14 new songs in preparation for their first live concert in over two years. Faced with a nearly impossible deadline, the strong bonds of friendship shared by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr are put to the test.
The Beatles’ surprise rooftop concert marked the band’s first live performance in over two years and their final live set together. The footage captures interactions between the band members, reactions from fans and employees from nearby businesses, and comical attempts to stop the concert by two young London policemen responding to noise complaints.
