Christmas Freak is currently available to purchase or rent on streaming platforms, and to give you a taste of the wacky holiday flick, Gardener Recordings has released the music video to the breakout hit “Cool Christmas” from the motion picture soundtrack. The lush jazz ballad is sung by Bulos and was broadcast last winter season on solarradio.com, the biggest R&B/jazz station in the United Kingdom.

In this wacky “John Waters meets Burl Ives” Christmas flick, Sean Marlow stars as a middle-aged misfit named Rudy Rotnase (German for “red-nose”) who celebrates Christmas every day of the year in the hope of bringing his dad back from a sudden Christmas day disappearance thirty years ago. Equally neurotic and endearing, Rudy associates his trauma with the dulcet spirit of his favorite holiday, turning its celebration into a force he uses to overcome the daily grievance of a dearly missed father while desperately seeking a friend to rescue him from his alienation.
The Christmas Freak original soundtrack features both original songs written and performed by producers Gemma Bulos and Sean Brown as The New Carpenters and classic holiday favorites (such as “Jingle Bells” and “Deck the Halls”), along with an original score written and performed by Jordan Taylor Roach.
The film will be showing at the Laemmle Theater in Glendale, CA from December 10 to the 16, and is currently available for purchase on Amazon Prime, AppleTV, Google Play, and other popular streaming platforms.
