Deadline brings word that Emmy nominees Nathan Lane (The Producers, Modern Family, The Birdcage) and Patti LuPone (Frasier, Hollywood, Witness) along with Oscar nominee Amy Ryan (Gone Baby Gone, Birdman, The Office) and Kylie Rogers (Home Before Dark, Yellowstone) are joining Oscar winner Joaquin Phoenix (Joker, Gladiator, The Master) in Ari Aster’s next A24 feature Disappointment Blvd.

Details about the film are being kept under wraps, but the project is being described as an intimate, decades-spanning portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time.”
Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar) will write and direct the film that is being produced and financed by A24. Aster and Lars Knudsen will also produce via their Square Peg banner. Executive producers include Elisa Alvares and Timo Argillander’s IPR.VC.

Lane, who most recently appeared in Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, and Ryan will appear in Hulu’s upcoming comedy crime drama series Only Murders in the Building, starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. Rogers will next appear in director Gail Lerner’s Cheaper by the Dozen remake for Disney+, co-written by Kenya Barris and Jenifer Rice-Genzuk and starring Zach Braff and Gabrielle Union.
