Paramount Pictures has set their franchise comedy sequel Beverly Hills Cop for release on March 25, 2016. Warner Bros. has, meanwhile, dated Dean Devlin’s Geostorm for release on the same day. There are currently no other major releases planned for that date.
The new Beverly Hills Cop movie will reunite Eddie Murphy with his Tower Heist director, Brett Ratner. The franchise had initially planned to segue into life on the small screen with a pilot that starred Brandon T. Jackson as Foley’s son. That concept failed to move beyond the pilot stage.
Geostorm, meanwhile, stars Gerard Butler as a scientist forced to team with his estranged brother to save the world from weather-controlling satellites while villains attempt an assassination of the President.
