On the heels of yesterday’s announcement that Mark Strong has joined the cast of Grimsby, comes word that Annabelle Wallis is set to play one of the film’s female leads opposite Strong and Sacha Baron Cohen.
Baron Cohen and Phil Johnston wrote the film, which follows a British black ops agent (Strong) who is forced to go on the run with his long-lost brother (Baron Cohen), who is a northern English soccer hooligan. When it was first announced in August of 2012, the comedy pitch was described as a parody of the “James Bond” franchise.
Wallis recently starred in the BBC miniseries “Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond,” and plays the lead in the coincidentally named Annabelle, the forthcoming spinoff of last year’s horror hit The Conjuring.
