Brad Pitt Targets Untitled WWII Project

Having already starred in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds and David Ayer’s upcoming Fury, Brad Pitt appears to be targeting a new World War II project. Deadline reports that Pitt is eyeing an untitled romantic thriller from Eastern Promises scribe Steven Knight that is set against the backdrop of WWII.

Set up at GK Films, details are few on the untitled project, though the outlet notes that a director is expected to be named shortly with production targeting an early 2015 start.

Pitt starred last year in World War Z, The Counselor and, in a minor role, in Steve McQueen’s Best Picture winner 12 Years a Slave, which he also produced. Fury, meanwhile, hits the big screen November 14.
