“Bates Motel” star Michael Vartan has taken the male lead in New Line’s upcoming thriller Crawlspace, Deadline reports. He joins recently-attached “True Detective” star Erin Moriarty for the Phil Claydon film.
Crawlspace, to be directed by Claydon from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman, follows a family who moves into a new home in the suburbs and soon discovers the house has a very disturbing secret from the past.
Vartan, also well-known for his role on “Alias,” has appeared on the big screen before in features like One Hour Photo and Colombiana.
Rick Alvarez and Peter Safran are producing Crawlspace with Walter Hamada and Dave Neustadter overseeing at New Line.
