A few weeks ago, we got some details about potential directing candidates for Marvel Studios’ long-planned Doctor Strange feature adaptation. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige was quick to dismiss the report, but The Hollywood Reporter‘s Borys Kit has taken to Twitter not only to add another name to the mix but to say only two of the originally-mentioned four names are currently in contention for the job.
Among the names listed are Brave director Mark Andrews and Jonathan Levine of 50/50 and Warm Bodies, in addition to Scott Derrickson of Sinister and The Exorcism of Emily Rose fame. Who would you like to see take on Doctor Strange for Marvel?
Little is known about the big screen adventures of the Sorcerer Supreme and a specific release date for Doctor Strange has not yet been set. Marvel has three placeholder dates set for unnamed features on May 6 and July 8, 2016 and on May 5, 2017, any of which could be assigned to the good doctor.
