Jude Law is, according to TheWrap, nearly set to take a leading role opposite Melissa McCarthy in director Paul Feig’s upcoming comedy actioner Susan Cooper.
First announced shortly after the successful opening of their The Heat, Susan Cooper marks the third big screen team-up for Feig and McCarthy. In addition to the The Heat, the pair worked together on 2011’s Bridesmaids, which grossed more than $288 million worldwide.
Feig wrote the script, which is said not to be a spoof, and will produce through his first look deal at Fox with Feigco Entertainment banner along with the company’s new executive VP Jessie Henderson and Fox’s Daria Cercek overseeing.
Law recently starred in Dom Hemingway and also stars in this week’s The Grand Budapest Hotel.
