Bradley Cooper Boards American Blood

Currently nominated for an Academy Award for his work on David O. Russell’s American Hustle, Bradley Cooper is, according to The Hollywood Reporter, set to headline an upcoming crime thriller, American Blood, for Warner Bros. The film will be based on the upcoming novel by Ben Sanders with Andrew Sodroski attached to adapt the screenplay.

“American Blood” launches a new crime/thriller series,” Publishers Weekly wrote recently about the novel, set for release in 2015 and the first in a planned series, “about Marshall Grade, an NYPD officer turned mob informant, who, while living in the witness protection program in New Mexico, is pulled into a dangerous investigation.”

Cooper is currently shooting Cameron Crowe’s still-untitled next film and will, later this year, lend his voice to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, voicing Rocket Raccoon in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy. He’s also set to soon shoot Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper, also for Warner Bros.

American Blood will be produced by Adam Kassan and John Lesher with Chantal Nong overseeing for Warner Bros.
