Billie Eilish to perform No Time to Die theme song
Following MGM’s official confirmation that four-time Grammy winner and Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer has indeed signed on as the new composer for No Time to Die, Grammy nominee Billie Eilish’s involvement in the upcoming 25th Bond movie has also been confirmed. The 18-year-old singer-songwriter will sing the No Time to Die Theme song, becoming the youngest artist ever to sing a Bond theme song, succeeding Grammy winners Sam Smith and Adele who did the themes for Spectre and Skyfall, respectively.
“It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honor. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock,” said Eilish.
Before the news was confirmed, Eilish, who has been nominated for six Grammy Awards including Album of the Year and Best New Artist, seemingly gave a cryptic response to the reports earlier today by posting a series of Instagram stories featuring Bond actresses including Halle Berry and Lea Seydoux.
CONFIRMED: @HansZimmer will compose the score for #NoTimeToDie. Director Cary Joji Fukunaga said: “I’m beyond excited that Hans is scoring #NoTimeToDie. The music of Bond has always been iconic and I’ve already witnessed Hans adding his touch of genius to the Bond legacy.” pic.twitter.com/L3q06ymLyH
