Directing duo Radio Silence wowed audiences this summer with the masterful horror-comedy Ready or Not and it appears they’re ready to return to the genre mesh with the help of Jump Street and Lego Movie masterminds Phil Lord and Chris Miller, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The untitled spec script, which was written by Jimmy Warden and will be a bear-driven horror comedy, was acquired by Universal Pictures, with who Lord and Miller signed a major first-look deal earlier this year. The story is being kept mostly under wraps but sources report that the film was pitched as a hybrid of Universal’s Good Boys, which scored with critics, audiences and at the box office this past summer, and The Revenant, the Oscar-winning survival drama that finally landed star Leonardo DiCaprio his first acting statue.
Radio Silence, which is made up of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett and Chad Villella, are set to bring the project to life on the big screen, with the former two set to helm the horror-comedy while the latter will produce alongside Lord and Miller.
Also set to produce the project are Lord Miller president Aditya Sood and Brian Duffield, while EVP of Production Matt Reilly and creative executive Christine Sun will oversee the project for Universal Pictures. Warden, who first collaborated with Lord and Miller as a production assistant on 21 Jump Street, is currently developing projects with Paramount and Margot Robbie’s Lucky Chap.

Ready or Not proved to be one of the major surprise hits of the summer, earning early positive reviews from critics at the Fantasia International Film Festival before opening to large critical praise from critics and audiences alike and grossing over $57 million on the small $6 million budget.
