Adam Driver Rumored for Dick Grayson Role in Batman vs. Superman

Adam Driver is said to be up for a supporting role in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel, Batman vs. Superman. TheWrap brings word that the “Girls” star is currently the frontrunner for the role of Dick Grayson who, as Bat-fans are aware, is Bruce Wayne’s young ward also known as the masked crimefighter Robin and, later on, Nightwing.

The news comes in the wake of word yesterday that three actresses are testing for a role rumored to be that of Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman, and that other familiar DC Comics heroes will also be appearing in the 2015 release. It looks like Snyder and company might be planning quite an expansive cinematic universe of their own.

Driver has starred in other recent big screen films like Lincoln and Frances Ha. He can next be seen in Joel and Ethan Coen’s Inside Llewyn Davis, set to open in theaters December 13.

Batman vs. Superman will feature the return of Henry Cavill as Superman, facing off against Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Also starring Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne, the Zack Snyder-directed Batman vs. Superman hits theaters on July 17, 2015.
