Warner Bros. Pictures has set dates for both Clint Eastwood’s Jersey Boys and Ben Affleck’s Live By Night.
Eastwood’s adaptation of the Broadway musical will arrive in theaters on June 20, 2014, the same day that Screen Gems has scheduled the release of Think Like a Man Too. Jersey Boys stars Christopher Walken, Jeremy Luke, Joey Russo, Vincent Piazza and Erica Piccininni. The film is the legendary story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi and tells the meteoric tale of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide all before they were thirty.
We’ll have to wait quite a while for Live By Night, however, as the crime drama is not scheduled to hit theaters until Christmas Day, 2015. That is after we’ll see Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight in Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman in July of that year. Live By Night is based on the Dennis Lehane prohibition-era novel, for which you can read the synopsis here.
