Deadline is reporting that Vince Vaughn (True Detective, Wedding Crashers, The Break-Up) will play one of the three leads in an untitled action-adventure comedy for Netflix.
Plot details have not yet been revealed, but the ensemble feature is said to be in the spirit of City Slickers and Old School.

The script for the action-comedy is written by Anders Holm (Workaholics, Game Over, Man!) and will be produced by Dan Farah (Ready Player One) via Farah Films alongside Peter Billingsley. Billingsley previously directed Vaughn in the comedy Couples Retreat.
Netflix previously collaborated with as Scott Stuber, Netflix’s head of film, produced Vaughn’s The Break-Up and Couples Retreat. The new movie was developed specifically for Vaughn along with several other comedic stars.

Vaughn’s recent credits include Fighting with My Family, F Is for Family, Dragged Across Concrete, Brawl in Cell Block 99, Hacksaw Ridge, Term Life, and HBO’s True Detective. His upcoming projects include Seberg, starring Zazie Beetz and Kristen Stewart, the crime drama Arkansas starring Liam Hemsworth and Vince Vaughn, and the comedy The Binge, which is currently filming. Vaughn will also be starring in an upcoming untitled body-swapping thriller from Blumhouse.
