Last year’s Flight having marked his first live-action film since 2000’s Cast Away, Robert Zemeckis now appears to be interested in helming Lionsgate’s Chaos Walking. TheWrap brings word that Zemeckis is negotiating to helm a feature film adaptation of the young adult book series’ first entry, “The Knife of Never Letting Go.” Charlie Kaufman (Adaptation, Synecdoche, New York) will provide the adapted screenplay for the 2008 tome, officially described as follows:
