During WB’s ScareDiego event yesterday, IT Chapter Two director Andy Muschietti was asked if given the chance to remake another horror film, what would he pick? The filmmaker revealed that it would be the 1981 horror classic The Howling. Co-star Bill Hader chimed in on this revelation, throwing his support behind Muchietti for the job.
Directed by Joe Dante, The Howling follows a television newswoman, who was sent to a remote mountain resort after a terrible near-death experience with a serial killer. However, things get worse as she discovers that the residents turn out to be werewolves.
It should be noted that no remake is actively in development for The Howling, this is all just wishful thinking.

The second part of IT is written by Gary Dauberman from the book by Stephen King and is directed once again by Muschietti. The sequel will hit theaters on September 6 of this year.
