The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced the full line-up for the 51st New York Film Festival today, following the earlier announcement of three high-profile movies in the Opening, Closing and Centerpiece slots: Tom Hanks’ Captain Phillips, Spike Jonze’s Her and Ben Stiller’s The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
Some of the more notable films announced today that will be playing the festival include About Time, the new movie from Richard Curtis (Love Actually), Steve Coogan’s new Alan Partridge movie, the Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis and Alexander Payne’s Nebraska (both which surprisingly skipped Toronto following their Cannes debuts), as well as a number of movies that will also be playing at the Toronto and Venice Film Festivals including Hayao Miyazaki’s The Wind Rises, Roger Michel’s Le Week-End and more.
