According to Deadline, Amazon has snatched up the global rights to the thriller 7500, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a co-pilot of a plane hijiacked by terrorists.

The already-finished film, directed by Patrick Vollrath (Everything Will Be Okay), saw a bidding war that resulted in Amazon beating out several buyers for the global rights; though excluding Germany, Austria and Switzerland and free TV in France.
Jonas Katzenstein and Maximilian Leo of Augenschein Filmproduktion produced the film, while Franz Novotny and Alexander Glehr served as co-producers.

Levitt is the actor of such high-profile films as Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, The Walk, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Lincoln and 50/50, though he hasn’t had a high-profile pic since 2016’s Snowden. He recently starred in the Comrade Detective TV series, and played the voice of Slowen Lo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Along with 7500, Levitt is working on Aaron Sorkin’s The Trial of the Chicago 7 and Wingmen, which marks his first big-screen directorial effort since Don Jon.
