ComingSoon.net: Hi everyone! The Lionsgate panel should begin shortly. Please stay tuned.

1:47

Ryan Turek: Hey guys, Ryan here in Hall H…

1:48

Ryan Turek: Wi-Fi is wonky but I’m on! And Lionsgate panel has begun with the I, Frankenstein panel…

1:48

Ryan Turek: They’re about to show off a sizzle reel…

1:50

Ryan Turek: Sizzle reel is action-packed. Frankenstein monster by way of Blade-like ass-kickery.

1:51

Ryan Turek: Aaron Eckhart’s “Adam” is a sword-wielding, axe-swining action hero tackling monsters, battle gargoyles.

1:51

Ryan Turek: It doesn’t have the color palette of Underworld but it certainly looks like the worlds could collide.

1:51

Ryan Turek: Did I mention there are LOTS of gargoyles? There are a ton.

1:52

Ryan Turek: Kevin Grevioux, the writer, wanted to make the monster an action hero which is what Lakeshore responded to.

1:52

Ryan Turek: For Aaron, the fight training was a lot to learn. “Pushed it to the level and trained hard.” 3-4 hours a day of training.

1:53

Ryan Turek: Stuart Beattie wanted a “fit” Frankenstein. Aaron says it’s a “physical” film that paid off.

1:53

Ryan Turek: Crowd is now asking to see Aaron’s cut body. He’s taking his clothes off.

1:53

Ryan Turek: He gives them a bicep.

1:53

Ryan Turek: Yvonne Strahovski plays a scientist in the film. She’s the “odd one out” one of two humans in the film.

1:54

Ryan Turek: When you first see her, she’s “re-animating a dead rat.” Her character does know about the underworld of monsters but she’s quickly acquainted with it in the story.

1:54

Ryan Turek: She describes “Adam” as an “It” and looks at him scientifically. The film’s theme focus on what it means to be human.

1:55

Ryan Turek: Stuart: Her character wants to know how Adam was made, Adam wants a “companion.”

1:55

ComingSoon.net: To those asking, Catching Fire should be after this.

1:55

Ryan Turek: Yes, Catching Fire is coming up after this, I believe.

1:56

Ryan Turek: Stuart: This story begins where the original Frankenstein story ends.

1:57

Ryan Turek: Yvonne: Tara, her character in the movie, is different for her. Unlike anything she’s played.

1:58

Ryan Turek: Aaron: This Frankenstein is seemingly immortal and is finding his purpose on earth. The elements of the original Frankenstein monster bleed through into this one. He’s looking for a community, a purpose in life and for love.

1:58

Ryan Turek: My aside? It appears this Frankenstein monster is looking for love while kicking copious amounts of demon ass.

1:59

Ryan Turek: Someone is calling out the gang on a “good looking” Frankenstein monster.

1:59

Ryan Turek: “There’s only so much you can do to make Aaron look ugly,” says Stuart.

2:00

Ryan Turek: You’ll see a much more heavily-scarred Adam during a sequence in the 1700s. Those scars, apparently, heal and clean up over time, hence a handsome creature.

2:00

Ryan Turek: Yvonne, “I don’t get to kick but in a CIA way, I get to kick but in a science sorta way.”

2:01

Ryan Turek: Stuart: “Tara doesn’t believe the Frankenstein monster is real, she thinks it’s a myth.”

2:02

Ryan Turek: They’re wrapping up I, Frankenstein, gang. Look for it in January.

2:02

Ryan Turek: Naturally someone yells “Harvey Dent.”

2:02

Ryan Turek: Good job, crowd.

2:02

Ryan Turek: Crowd goes nuts as CATCHING FIRE logo comes up on the screen.

2:03

Ryan Turek: First time the Hunger Games cast is appearing in Hall H. Film opens November 22nd.

2:03

Ryan Turek: Be patient with me Hunger Games, folks.

2:03

Ryan Turek: Here comes… Frances Lawrence! Director…

2:04

Ryan Turek: Francis Lawrence

2:04

Ryan Turek: Willow Shields is coming out.

2:04

Ryan Turek: LENNY KRAVTIZ, GUYS.

2:04

Ryan Turek: KRAVITZ.

2:04

Ryan Turek: JENNA MALONE

2:05

Ryan Turek: JEFFREY WRIGHT

2:05

Ryan Turek: LIAM HEMSWORTH (crowd goes nuts)

2:05

Ryan Turek: JOSH HUTCHERSON!

2:05

Ryan Turek: Moderator acts like that’s it…

2:06

Ryan Turek: Nope.

2:06

Ryan Turek: Jennifer Lawrence!

2:06

Ryan Turek: JENNIFER LAWRENCE

2:06

Ryan Turek: First question for Francis…

2:07

Ryan Turek: First day of shooting was light with Philip Seymour Hoffman, says Lawrence. A dream cast and dream story.

2:07

Ryan Turek: Jennifer: Life is different for Katniss this time, suffering from post-traumatic stress. Doesn’t have to worry about food. And now she’s feeling useless and she’s adapting to a new life.

2:08

Ryan Turek: Jennifer: Katniss is also dealing with Peeta. They went through something that Gale will never understand.

2:08

Ryan Turek: Josh: Things are complicated. What they went through was an act, he feels. He feels hurt but he wants to help Katniss and protect her.

2:09

Ryan Turek: On the torture scene…

2:09

Ryan Turek: Liam: It’s hard to get whipped for three days straight. At first it’s just acting, but after three days of getting hit with anything, it starts to hurt. “But it’s just good fun.”

2:10

Ryan Turek: Francis interacted with Suzanne quite a bit. They met in NYC and they went through the book. Made a beat sheet that became the screenplay, she’s been part of the process.

2:10

Ryan Turek: They’re going to show off some stuff…

2:10

Ryan Turek: Brought the new trailer.

2:10

Ryan Turek: Katniss walking into a cemetery

2:11

Ryan Turek: some footage we’ve seen before

2:11

Ryan Turek: Katniss and Peeta showboating in front of a camera. Peeta is over it.

2:11

Ryan Turek: “We have to go before they kill us, they will kill us,” says Katniss.

2:12

Ryan Turek: Lots of 75th Hunger Games preparation and spectacle

2:12

Ryan Turek: This kinda looks insane

2:12

Ryan Turek: “You’re dealing with all of the experienced killers!” says Gale

2:13

Ryan Turek: Final shot is Katniss coming up out of a tube only to be surrounded by water. Other players are on platforms surrounded by water.

2:13

Ryan Turek: Crazy start to the games!

2:13

Ryan Turek: Trailer will hit soon, I’m sure. You’ll see.

2:14

Ryan Turek: Francis: This is one of the best groups of people I’ve ever had to work with.

2:14

Ryan Turek: Francis: I’m pleased with the emotional scale of the movie and the way the world looks. You’ll see more of the capital and the performances of “fantastic.”

2:15

Ryan Turek: Lenny: Character is a “cool cat.” Lots of interest in Katniss…as a friend. As someone who believes in her and cares for her.

2:15

ComingSoon.net: Picture of the panel – http://instagram.com/p/cAJyZLCtkU/

2:15

Ryan Turek: Lenny: You’ll see how they evolve “until his very last scene”

2:16

Ryan Turek: Jeffrey: The books and film established a huge appetite for expectation and he hopes they can match and surpass those expectations.

2:16

Ryan Turek: Jena: It’s surprising, like opening a candy bar and getting a golden ticket to be in this.

2:16

ComingSoon.net: You can now watch the Comic-Con trailer here – http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/the-hunger-games-catching-fire/?vp=1

2:16

Ryan Turek: Jena: Everything is flipped on its head in this movie.

2:17

Ryan Turek: Jena: I got pranked every day of my life. By Willow.

2:19

Ryan Turek: Jennifer: Going into the second book, there’s something familiar but you’re a part of it.

2:19

Ryan Turek: They’re fielding Twitter/FB questions.

2:19

Ryan Turek: How hot are the kissing scenes?

2:19

Ryan Turek: Josh: So hot. Jennifer: What about the one with the snot?

2:20

Ryan Turek: Jennifer: Lots of slobber during CPR scene. Huge string of snot.

2:20

Ryan Turek: Josh: It’s super hot.

2:20

Ryan Turek: Jennifer: There’s a huge string of snot connecting the two of us. Let’s put it on YouTube.

2:21

Ryan Turek: Jennifer: Favorite costume… Wedding dress is good to look at, wearing it is tough.

2:22

Ryan Turek: Jennifer: Not good in walking in giant dresses like that. Gorgeous. An honor to wear it and understated (sarcasm)

2:24

Ryan Turek: Audience question time…

2:24

Ryan Turek: Jennifer Lawrence as agreed to give her table name card to a young girl

2:26

Ryan Turek: Jennifer: Hardest stunt… Lots of archery training and running training – lots of it this time. She was running so hard she hit her face with her bow and she flew back.

2:26

Ryan Turek: Jennifer: Basic running is the worst thing for her. There’s a scene where she’s running up a mountain, doing that was the greatest challenge…and not hitting her face with her bow.

2:27

Ryan Turek: Biggest difference between doing indie films and big tentpole projects?

2:28

Ryan Turek: Jennifer: There can be something to be said for having too much money. With indies it’s creatively pushing to get things done. Studio movies are big and massive, but the food is better. There’s more money to make the movie better though. They’re both different but “both lovely.”

2:29

Ryan Turek: She’s apologizing for that answer

2:29

Ryan Turek: What’s the interaction like amongst cast members especially with drastic age difference?

2:29

Ryan Turek: Josh: Younger tributes acted like it was summer camp. This time it’s like a retirement home.

2:30

Ryan Turek: Josh: Everyone got along, no egos. No divas, with “having that many actors, that’s rare.”

2:30

Ryan Turek: Lenny: I didn’t get to go to Hawaii to shoot where everyone shot.

2:32

Ryan Turek: Jennifer: You never have to go to the gym when doing these movies, they’re so physical. No diets necessary.

2:33

ComingSoon.net: Okay everyone, we have to move on to another panel. Thanks for joining us!

2:33

Ryan Turek: How has the Hunger Games changed the cast’s lives…

2:33

Ryan Turek: Willow: Lots of great opportunities I didn’t have before.

2:34

Ryan Turek: Wrapping this up, folks. Hope you enjoyed!

2:34

ComingSoon.net: Thanks Ryan!
