Variety is reporting that Frank Grillo (The Grey, The Purge: Anarchy) will be joining Olivia Munn (The Predator, Six) in The Gateway, a neo-noir thriller from director Michele Civetta (The Executrix) and writer Alexander Felix (Where Angels Die).

Grillo’s recent credits include Netflix’s Fight World, Donnybrook, and Avengers: Endgame. Upcoming projects include The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, Boss Level, Black and Blue, Point Blank, Once Upon a Time in Staten Island, Into the Ashes, and Hell on the Border.
The Gateway follows Parker (Shea Whigham), a downtrodden social worker in the grips of alcoholism, assigned to oversee the care of the daughter of single mother Dahlia (Olivia Munn).

The ensemble cast also includes Keith David (The Nice Guys, 21 Bridges), Taryn Manning (Orange is the New Black, The Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson), Mark Boone Junior (Sons of Anarchy, Paradise City), Shea Whigham (American Hustle, Homecoming), Oscar nominee Bruce Dern (Nebraska, The Hateful Eight), and Zach Avery (The White Crow, Farming).
The Gateway is being produced by Andrew Levitas via his Metalwork Pictures banner alongside Stephen Israel.
