Lucifer season 4 teaser

Lucifer Season 4 Teaser Reveals Netflix Premiere Date

Lucifer is back and on an entirely new platform. Netflix just released a teaser for the show’s upcoming fourth season, and its first exclusively on the streaming platform. While the video is short on details, it shows star Tom Ellis relaxing in a hot tub with a nice glass of booze, remind fans that “He is risen,” and the new season will launch on May 8. You can check out the teaser in the post below. Based very loosely on the Vertigo character, Lucifer is the story of the original fallen angel. Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles, where he has teamed up with LAPD detective Chloe Decker to take down criminals. The show was abruptly canceled by Fox after its third season earlier this year.

The cancellation news from the beginning of May gutted fans, who began a social media outcry for another network to save the series with the hashtag “#SaveLucifer,” which landed as the No. 1 trending topic on Twitter for a short while. Cast members from the show, including Tom Ellis and Aimee Garcia, had been very appreciative of all of the fan support and held out hope in interviews that there was still a chance and after producer Warner Bros. TV shopped it around to other networks, Netflix is the savior for the series.

Lucifer is produced by Warner Bros. Television, in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Aggressive Mediocrity. The series is vaguely based on characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for Vertigo, from DC Entertainment and is executive-produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson. Len Wiseman serves as director and executive producer. Kapinos serves as an executive consultant on the series.

Season 4 of Lucifer will kick off May 8 on Netflix.
