“The Borgias” star Holliday Grainger has joined the cast of Walt Disney Pictures’ Cinderella, The Wrap reports. She’ll star opposite Lily James in the title role with Cate Blanchett playing the wicked stepmother and Richard Madden the prince.
Aline Brosh McKenna (27 Dresses, The Devil Wears Prada) and Chris Weitz wrote the film. While most people know the story from Disney’s 1950 animated classic, there are variations going back as far as the 1st century BC.
Grainger is also known for big screen roles in films like Great Expectations and Jane Eyre.
