Paramount Sets Release Dates for Clifford and Rugrats, Pulls Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Paramount Pictures made a number of moves this week, the first of which was setting a November 13, 2020 release date for its yet-to-be-titled Clifford the Big Red Dog film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The studio also pushed Rugrats, based on the beloved Nickelodeon cartoon, from November 13, 2020 to January 29, 2021.
And, much to the chagrin of fans everywhere, the studio yanked the big screen adaptation of Are You Afraid of the Dark? from its schedule completely. The film, which had been courting D.J. Caruso to direct, was set to open October 4 of this year. No new date has been set.

Walt Becker (Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip) will direct the Clifford the Big Red Dog film, based off the classic children’s books of the same name from author Norman Birdwell about a 25-foot-tall red dog and his adventures with his owner Emily.
