New Movies on Blu-ray/DVD

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

The monster hit sequel to the 1995 adventure stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan, and has already grossed a staggering $930 million worldwide. Extra features on the disc include a Making Of documentary, featurettes on the cast, the stunts and the rhinos, as well as a gag reel.

Pitch Perfect 3

The Bellas are back for more a capella antics in this hit threequel that finds the girls reuniting for a European USO tour and featuring all-new musical performances.

Downsizing 

The shrinking satire from director Alexander Payne (Sideways) and starring Matt Damon hits Blu-ray this week. While the comedy suffers from being a bit overlong, it features poignant messages about the environment and a great supporting performance by Hong Chau as a Vietnamese dissident shrunk against her will.

Small Town Crime (exclusive clip)

The Vanishing of Sidney Hall

Logan Lerman plays a controversial writer who disappears after his relationship with his girlfriend (Elle Fanning) begins to fall apart. A decade later a detective (Kyle Chandler) searches for the missing author, whose books are connected to a string of mysterious arsons.

Birdboy: The Forgotten Children

This Goya Award-winning animated feature set in a post-apocalyptic world follows a shy outcast and a teenage mouse as they flee their desolate island home.

The Passion of Joan of Arc

Carl Theodore Dreyer’s silent masterpiece comes to the Criterion Collection in a new Blu-ray edition, featuring a 24-frame-per-second 2K transfer, as well as a 20-frame-per-second version, and three different scores.

Ichi the Killer

The definitive remastered edition of Takashi Miike’s gory crime classic comes to Blu-ray, featuring an audio commentary with Miike and the original manga creator Hideo Yamamoto.
