Adam Sandler is back in theaters this Friday as the unlikely father of Andy Samberg in That’s My Boy. The decidedly R-rated comedy sees Sandler as Donny, an adult slacker who has spent his entire life living off the infamy of a highly-publicized affair he had with his teacher when he was a teen, resulting in the birth of a baby boy (which he proudly names Han Solo). Decades later, that boy, now calling himself Todd (Samberg), is fully grown and has purposefully avoided his biological dad for years. Now, on the eve of his wedding, Donny is suddenly back in his life, threatening to bring the life he now knows crashing down.
ComingSoon.net sat down to talk with Sandler and Samberg as well as their fellow “Saturday Night Live” alum Will Forte and co-stars Leighton Meester, Ciara and Rob Van Winkle, AKA Vanilla Ice, playing himself in the Columbia Pictures comedy.
Check out the full interviews in the player below where the cast talks about what happens when you sign on for a Happy Madison film and for some incredible impressions by Sandler and Samberg of their castmates. What’s more, Samberg discusses playing cinema’s second-greatest Han Solo.
That’s My Boy arrives in theaters on June 15, 2012.
