Reissues

Web of the Spider

Garagehouse is releasing this shocker from 1971 on Blu-ray for the first time. It’s Italian director Anthony M. Dawson’s (Antonio Margheriti) color remake of his own black and white 1964 horror film Castle of Blood, and features Klaus Kinski as Edgar Allan Poe, who makes a bet with a journalist (Anthony Franciosa) that he can’t spend on night in a haunted castle. While certainly just as hair-raising as the original, it suffers slightly from a lack of Barbara Steele, but other than that this is gothic horror at its finest! Kinski is utterly unhinged, as per usual, and the castle set is an improvement over the original film, for which this is virtually a beat-for-beat remake. For a smaller label, Garagehouse really put together a classy package, including a solid transfer, two audio commentaries, the uncut Italian version and, best of all, an Antonio Margheriti trailer reel featuring classics like Wild Wild Planet and Code Name: Wild Geese!

Hellraiser (Limited Edition Steelbook)

Clive Barker’s Cenobites have never looked scarier than in this brand new 2K restoration of the 1987 horror classic, which also features a brand new version of the definitive documentary “Leviathan: The Story of Hellraiser.” Bring Pinhead home in a glorious steelbook, he has such sights to show you!

J.D.’s Revenge

The Blaxploitation genre combines with the horror genre in this story of a law student who becomes possessed by the spirit of a violent gangster who died in the 1940s. Glynn Turman (Gremlins, Super 8) stars in this 1976 cult classic alongside future Oscar winner Louis Gossett Jr. (An Officer and a Gentleman).

New on Digital HD

Logan Lucky

Steven Soderbergh directs this hillbilly heist movie set at a racetrack featuring an all-star cast, including Channing Tatum, Adam Driver and Daniel Craig.

Almost Friends

Freddie Highmore, Odeya Rush and Haley Joel Osment star in this comedy romance about an unmotivated twenty-something who lives at home and finds himself falling for local barista. Opens in theaters and On-Demand and Digital HD November 17.

Amanda & Jack Go Glamping (exclusive clip)

Check out David Arquette and Amy Acker in an exclusive clip below from this new romantic comedy about a dejected one-hit author Jack Spencer (Arquette) who agrees to go “glamping” with his wife, Amanda (Acker) in search of a spark.
