ClownTown opens today and we have an exclusive clip
Clowns are scary. It’s a fact. Speaking of It, the remake/new adaptation of Stephen King’s It recently wrapped in Toronto, Eli Roth’s Clown just had a fairly successful run in theaters before hitting home video, Rob Zombie’s 31 is screaming back to theaters before Halloween. Yes. Clowns are scary and super popular. Now there’s even more Big Top terror coming to keep your nose – and everything else – red.
ITN Distribution, Inc. will release Tom Nagel’s horror thriller ClownTown in theaters starting today (September 30th) and on VOD and DVD on October 4, 2016.
ClownTown tells the story of a group of friends who get stranded in a seemingly abandoned town and find themselves stalked by a gang of violent psychopaths dressed as clowns. It is loosely inspired by the case of the real deal clowns who terrorized Bakersfield, CA in 2014.
ClownTown was produced by Jeff Miller, Tom Nagel, Brian Nagel, Christopher Lawrence Chapman, and Ronnie D. Lee. Robert Kurtzman (FX creator of From Dusk Till Dawn) co-produced. David H. Greathouse (Syfy’s Face/Off, Tusk) handled the bulk of the makeup FX. Stuart Alson of ITN Distribution negotiated the deal along with Jeff Miller and CT Films LLC on behalf of the filmmakers. Archstone Distribution is handling foreign sales.
We got our clammy hands on an exclusive clip from the flick. Check it out below.
