After nearly six decades of adventures in the pages of Marvel comics, Thor arrives in U.S. theaters this Friday.
Fittingly directed by Kenneth Branagh, the tale of the Norse Gods moves between the world of the mortal Earth and the celestial Asgard where Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is set to inherit the throne from his father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins). Unfortunately, through his arrogant actions and the mischievous efforts of his brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Thor is banished from the immortal realm and sent to Earth to learn humility. There, he encounters a scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who helps set him on the path to redemption.
ComingSoon.net spoke exclusively with Hemsworth, Hiddleston, Branagh and Hopkins as well as Jaimie Alexander (Sif) and Kat Dennings (Darcy) about the film and where it fits into the larger Marvel cinematic universe.
