Journey with Alice Through the Looking Glass

This Memorial Day weekend, Walt Disney Pictures invites audiences to accompany Mia Wasikowska’s Alice Kingsleigh on a new journey to Underland as Alice Through the Looking Glass hits the big screen. Tim Burton, who directed the 2010 original, returns as producer with Flight of the Conchords and Muppets Most Wanted helmer James Bobin taking the reins as director for a new adventure inspired by Lewis Carroll’s enduring books.

ComingSoon.net traveled to London to sit down with the cast and crew of Alice Through the Looking Glass and, in the player below, you can check out exclusive video conversations with Wasikowska, Bobin and Burton. They discuss the challenges of following up a film that became one of the biggest box office hits of all time, telling a story that involves time travel and why the new wave of live-action Disney films isn’t planning on crossing over characters anytime soon.

Returning alongside Wasikowska for Alice Through the Looking Glass are fellow Alice in Wonderland stars Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Rhys Ifans, Helena Bonham Carter, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen, Timothy Spall and, in one of his final performances, the late Alan Rickman. There’s also a new antagonist in Sacha Baron Cohen’s Time, the living embodiment of time itself.

Directed by James Bobin from a script by Linda Wolverton, Alice Through the Looking Glass opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.
