Although it may not be the first film one thinks of when it comes to Oscar season, it’s hard to deny the incredible makeup work on display in Paramount Pictures’ Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa. That’s due in no small part to the incredible work done by lead makeup artist Stephen Prouty who is in the running to take home the big prize when he winners are announced March 2.
ComingSoon.net paid a visit to “Jackass” headquarters to sit down with both Prouty himself and his grand creation, the 86-year-old Irving Zirsman (played by Johnny Knoxville after a 3 1/2-hour makeup session). Check out the full video in the player below, which includes an introduction by Knoxville and a rapid time lapse montage of the Zisman makeup being applied.
