If you’re familiar with Richelle Mead’s bestselling series of Vampire Academy novels, you already know that there are three kinds of Vampires: The Moroi (who are both peaceful and mortal), the Dhampir (the half-vampire/half-human race that protects the Moroi) and the Strigoi (monstrous, immortal Vampires who can only be killed with a silver stake through the heart).
It’s the first two kinds that attend St. Vladamirs Academy and, in this Friday’s release, they’re exemplified by Lucy Fry’s Moroi, Lissa Dragomir, and Zoey Deutch’s Dhampir, Rose Hathaway, two young girls who, in the midst of protecting themselves from a deadly conspiracy within the school, have to survive a social scene that, even by itself, can quickly become a matter of life and death.
ComingSoon.net sat down with Deutch, Fry and co-stars Sarah Hyland and Dominic Sherwood to discuss the new film and we brought along your questions! Special thanks go out to readers Jane Cunningham and Nazari Flores whose questions were asked in the below video. Check it out in the player below and catch Vampire Academy in theaters on February 7.
