Hasbro revealed their new Star Wars toy lineup from this weekend’s Star Wars Celebration. We also got to have a quick chat on the con floor with Hasbro’s Sam Smith (Product Design Manager, Star Wars) and Patrick Schneider (Senior Managet Global Brand Development & Marketing, Star Wars). “For me it’s the Luke Skywalker helmet,” said Schneider of his favorite item revealed at the show. “It’s all amazing, but that’s the best ever helmet we’ve done. It’s got the most deco we’ve ever done, it’s got this cool new gameplay feature with the Yavin or Hoth battles. It’s got LEDs on the screen. It’s the most requested hero helmet, so we’re really excited to get it in the line, especially for the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga.”
“Definitely for me in terms of the reveals this weekend it’s gotta be the Black Series 6″ Emperor Palpatine,” Smith also told us. “It was a wonderful little surprise to all of us when he appeared in the trailer.”
