K-pop act EPEX will make a comeback in 2024. The group is gearing up to release its first-ever studio album, Youth Chapter 1: YOUTH DAYS. EPEX’s journey in K-pop started on June 8, 2021, with their first extended play, Bipolar Pt.1: Prelude of Anxiety. Since then, the rookie group has released over five EPS, multiple singles, and won several awards.
EPEX’s Wish, Keum, Mu, A-Min, Baekseung, Ayden, Yewang, and Jeff snagged the Rookie Award- Male Group trophy at the 2021 Hanteo Music Awards. They also won the Emerging Artist Award at the 2022 edition. Three years after their debut, the K-pop group is set to release their first full-length studio album in 2024.
EPEX confirms release date of comeback album Youth Chapter 1:YOUTHDAYS
EPEX’s comeback studio album, Youth Chapter 1:YOUTHDAYS, will be released on April 9 at 6 p.m. KST/ 5 a.m. ET/ 2 a.m. PT/ 10 a.m. BST. The album’s tracklist will drop on March 30 at 12 a.m. KST/ March 29 at 11 p.m. ET.
The studio album will be part of EPEX’s new Youth Trilogy. Reports claim that the first album will portray the colorful story of youth that fans can relate to. After finishing The Book of Anxiety series, EPEX looks forward to showing fans a new side of themselves through the new concept.
EPEX released six parts of its Book Of Anxiety series from 2021 to 2023. The last chapter, Prelude of Anxiety Chapter 2, Can We Surrender? became its highest-selling album. The EP sold over 214,099 copies in the first week of its release and ranked third on Korea’s Circle Album Chart.
The previous release of EPEX, Prelude of Love Chapter 2, Growing Pains, also showed the group’s significant growth in their music scene. The EP sold over 110,669 copies in South Korea and ranked sixth on the Circle Album Chart.
EPEX has also significantly impacted the overseas music charts. On March 19th, the group’s collaborative EP Peppermint Yum with Fantastics from EXILE TRIBE ranked number 1 on Oricon’s daily album chart.
