Popular South Korean actress Kang Han-Na, who is currently featured in Frankly Speaking, announced her next project. She will be playing a crucial role in Netflix’s upcoming K-drama, Cashero.
Recently, Netflix unveiled Cashero’s details and cast members, which include Lee Jun-Ho, Kim Hye-Joon, Kim Hyang-Gi, and Kim Byung-Chul, among others. The star-studded cast has already created a buzz on the internet and raised anticipation among viewers. Now, the Frankly Speaking actor’s addition has further increased audiences’ excitement. Lee Chang-Min is directing the drama, based on a webtoon of the same name.
Cashero cast update: Kang Han-Na’s role in K-drama revealed
Netflix‘s original series revolves around a superhero storyline. The narrative follows Kang Sang Woong (played by Lee Jun-Ho), a simple government employee. His superpower is gaining strength as much as he holds cash in his pocket. He gains his powers when he gains money and loses the money when he uses his power. As a result, he faces a constant struggle to gain money to use his power. However, a day will come when he has to empty his pocket to save the world. What will happen then? How will Sang-Woong deal with the chaos?
While the other cast members were already revealed on May 21, 2024, Kang Han-Na’s addition has been unveiled recently. Her agency, KeyEast, confirmed the reports to JTBC Entertainment News. They said (originally in Korean), “It is true that Kang Han Na will star in ‘Cashero.’ She is expected to work with Lee Junho, Kim Hye-Joon, Kim Byung-Chul, and Kim Hyang-Gi.”
Kang Han-Na is going to play a villainous character in Cashero. She will portray the role of Joanna, the daughter of a chaebol family. Even though her role is not present in the webtoon, the writer of the drama is creating her backstory.
Meanwhile, Kang Han-Na’s current project, Frankly Speaking, is garnering a lot of viewership ratings. Han-Na’s performance in this comedy-drama is adding curiosity and raising more expectations from her.
