Starring Rowoon and Cho Yi-Hyun, KBS recently released the trailer of The Matchmakers episode 5. The K-drama is about two young, widowed matchmakers willing to marry off Joseon men and women who have crossed their primal marital age.
So far, Sim Jung-Woo (Rowoon) and Jung Soon-Deok (Yi-Hyun) have met each other in disguise. He presented himself as a royal inspector while she met him as matchmaker Yeo Joo-Daek. In the previous episode, their joint effort helped their challenging matchmaking mission. It also featured Jung-Woo slowly falling in love with Joo-Daek.

The Matchmakers episode 5 release date, plot & more
The Matchmakers episode 5 will air on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 9.45 p.m. KST on KBS. New episodes will also be available to stream on Viki.
Episode 4 ended with Jung-Woo (Rowoon) recognizing Joo-Daek (Cho Yi-Hyun) as Soon-Deok. The situation took her by surprise because neither her brother nor her fellow matchmakers could identify Joo-Daek’s real identity.
As for the upcoming episode, the network recently released a trailer. The defense minister’s sister grows suspicious after learning Jung-Woo’s mission. For context, he is the king’s widowed son-in-law and is thus addressed as the prince. The king asked him to marry off three unmarried sisters to protect the crown prince’s future. Therefore, Jung-Woo turned into a matchmaker and introduced himself as the royal inspector.
The trailer also shows Soon-Deok as matchmaker Joo-Daek, who helps the three sisters find their respective matches. Someone tells Soon-Deok’s mother-in-law to manage her well. The next scene shows the mother-in-law telling Soon-Deok about a tutor, which may be Jung-Woo. As the latter knows Soon-Deok’s real identity, she meets him in her original form, according to the trailer.
A romantic atmosphere is created towards the end of the preview. Soon-Daek and Jung-Woo look at the sky while the former says, “Your heart races when you see someone you like.” She promises him to be his shield when he receives a threat.
