The highly anticipated film Kanguva will hit theaters on October 10, 2024, coinciding with the Dussehra release. The film has generated significant buzz among audiences with its sizzling teaser, prompting eager anticipation for its release. Although the makers have not yet released the first part in theaters, excitement for its sequel is already building. Adding to the enthusiasm, the founder of the film’s production company hinted at plans for a follow-up, fueling further speculation and excitement.
When will the Kanguva sequel be released?
Directed by Siva, Kanguva is set against the backdrop of a hazy jungle. Pramod Uppalapati, V. Vamsi Krishna, and K. E. Gnanavel Raja produced the film under the UV Creations and Studio Green banner.
Recently, producer K. E. Gnanavel Raja revealed that they are planning to release “Kanguva” in two parts. He said, “We wrote the story for part 1 and part 2 and finished the first part. We have yet to begin production of the sequel. We took 185 days to complete the shoot of Kanguva 1. The second part will start at the end of 2025 or early 2026. We are planning to release Kanguva 2 in 2027 January or Summer.”
He further added, “If part 1 is staged neatly, part 2 will be received like anything. We have something exciting for the audience at the end of the first part to hook them for the sequel.”
Considering this, the storyline for the sequel is clearly in place, but its release timing depends on the performance of the first Kanguva film. If it does well, the sequel might be released sooner rather than later.
In terms of casting, Suriya stars as Kanguva, the protagonist, while Bobby Deol plays Udhiram, the antagonist. The film also features key roles for Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, and Redin Kingsley.
