The Telugu movie Vidya Vasula Aham is all set to debut on the OTT platform, bypassing its theatrical release. Initially scheduled for release during last year’s Sankranti season, the film will now be available to stream on the OTT platform.
Manikanth Gelli helms the film, which revolves around a married couple, Vidya and Vasu, who were wedded in an arranged marriage set up by their parents. After marriage, they fall in love, but soon, their egos cause problems in their relationship. The film also explores whether their relationship will withstand the challenges when their egos come into play. Rahul Vijay plays the lead role as Vasu, while Shivani Rajasekhar portrays Vidya.
Additionally, the cast includes Srinivas Avasarala, Raghu Babu, Tanikella Bharani, Viva Raghav, and Nanimalla Raviteja. The film has been produced by Mahesh Dutta and Lakshmi Navya under the Eternity Entertainment banner. Notably, Rahul last appeared in the movie Panchtantram, and Shivani made her debut with the film Adbhutam, released in 2021.
Vidya Vasula Aham coming to Aha Video
Aha Video recently announced on X (formerly Twitter) that Vidhya Vasula Aham would start streaming from May 17. Their tweet read, “Coming on MAY 17, Vidya, to tell a love story with an ego. Vasu! (Written in Telugu). Get ready for a Long Long Ego Story #VidyaVasulaAham.” This announcement has sparked anticipation among audiences eagerly awaiting its theatrical release.
Furthermore, the platform shared a glimpse of the film on its YouTube channel, quickly catching the audience’s attention and garnering around 51K views to date. Interestingly, Vijay and Shivani were last seen together in Kota Bommali PS. In an earlier interview with Telugu One, Vijay shared his experience working while working on the movie.
He said, “I work under Srikanth Garu’s character. Getting to do a film with producers Bunny Vass Garu and Vidya Akka feels great. Even though I am young, Vass Garu would call me Rahul Garu on set. His treatment has been awesome.”
As of now, the film is set to debut directly on the OTT platform. It will be intriguing to see how the audience reacts to experiencing it from their home comfort.
