Prabhas has been adding some high-profile film franchises and movies to his filmography. The actor, last seen in Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, has several projects in his kitty. One of the much-awaited ones is his first collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, titled Spirit. The only announcement the director has made so far is the movie’s title.
It has been years since the film was announced, and, to date, its production has not begun. Luckily, the makers are certain about the film, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga even dropped an update about it.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga reveals Spirit is not a horror thriller
The director recently attended the trailer release event of the Hindi film Dukaan and teased plot details about Spirit. Vanga revealed it is not when asked if the upcoming Prabhas starrer is a supernatural film. He mentioned that the upcoming movie will follow the story of a sincere cop, per 123telugu.com. He further revealed that he would soon begin his work on the film.
Vanga is known for Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, and Animal. The director’s last outing with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role dominated the box office. Despite the mixed reviews and criticism, the film shone in the theaters for weeks. At the movie’s end, the director revealed its sequel, titled Animal Park, with Kapoor reprising his role. The director has now confirmed that he will shoot Animal Park after completing Spirit.
On the work front, Prabhas is gearing up for the sci-fi dystopian film Kalki 2898 AD. Nag Ashwin is directing the film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan. The movie is scheduled to release on May 9, 2024. Moreover, he also has The Raja Saab with Maruthi. Touted to be a horror comedy, the upcoming film will see Prabhas in a local setting.
