Raveena Tandon, an icon from the vibrant era of Bollywood in the 1990s, makes a triumphant return with her upcoming series Karmma Calling. While she has made sporadic appearances in films and web series, this project marks her return to the lead role. In the show, Tandon assumes the role of Indrani Kothari, a powerful and affluent woman.
Karmma Calling is set against the backdrop of Alibaug society, where Indrani Kothari reigns as the queen. The storyline is steeped in treachery and deceit. Moreover, revolving around the exceptionally wealthy Kothari family and the tumultuous events that befall them. The latter is mainly Karma Talwar, a mysterious woman seeking revenge and devoid of empathy.
Additionally, each twist in the storyline promises mysteries, thrills, and unexpected turns, creating an anticipation for the series that is hard to ignore.
After all, it is a revenge series adapted from the American hit ABC’s early 2010s drama Revenge. Director Ruchi Narain revealed the same. She quipped, “I was addicted to the show. From when I saw episode one a decade ago, I thought that this is it — something that should be taken to the Indian audience.”
As mentioned earlier, the series will be released on upcoming Friday, January 26, 2024. It will exclusively premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar.

Recently Raveena Tandon opened up about her role in the show and her commitment to exploring diverse characters. The actress who made her first OTT debut in Netflix’s Aranyak is coming back as Kothari in a Karmma Calling.
In a conversation with PTI, Raveena enthusiastically spoke about her role in the upcoming series. She shared, “It’s a role that I was completely waiting to do.”
Furthermore, she added, “I played Ramika Sen (a Prime Minister) in KGF 2, Kasturi Dogra (a cop) in Aranyak, a grieving mother in Maatr and I’m playing a different character in Welcome to Jungle. And here comes this ultra-glam role (in Karmma Calling). This fitted in the slot (of things) that I wanted to do. It all just worked out.”
Raveena Tandon’s latest series is just one of the four projects lined up for the actress. It further includes films like Ghudchadi, Patna Shukla, and Welcome to Jungle.
