It has been almost a month since Prabhas’ latest film, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, came out. The film has indeed created a massive buzz among cinephiles with its mass action and drama. It is successfully enjoying its run in the theaters and has minted millions in its worldwide box-office collection. While fans are now eagerly waiting for the film to arrive on OTT, the release date has been announced.
Prabhas played the lead role in Prashanth Neel’s directorial Salaar. Fans have been calling this film the Baahubali star’s comeback after his highly criticized outings. The movie received mixed reviews from the audience. Despite that, it successfully attracted a large number of people to the theaters.
Salaar to arrive on Netflix on January 20?
After much anticipation and reports of the film’s OTT release in February, its official digital debut date is here. The makers recently announced, via X (formerly Twitter), that the movie will be available to stream on Netflix from January 20. However, only the film’s Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam versions are releasing on the OTT giant.
The tweet read, “Get ready for the action extravaganza SalaarCeaseFire streaming on @NetflixIndia from Jan 20 in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam & Tamil.”
As per OTTplay, Prashanth Neel has not added extra footage in Salaar’s OTT version. The runtime of the film, as per Netflix, is 2 hours 55 minutes. Recently, several directors added some additional scenes to the digital versions of their movies that did not make it to the theaters.
Following Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’s success, all eyes are now on its sequel. The makers are allegedly working on Part 2 of the film franchise. Apart from Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, and others played key roles in the film. The upcoming sequel has been titled Salaar Part 2: Shourangya Parvam.
