Ranbir Kapoor‘s highly anticipated film, Animal, is all set to break records at the Indian box office with its release. Sandeep Reddy Vanga directs the romantic-crime drama which the producers have slated for release on December 1, 2023. Animal stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles. T-Series, Bhadrakali Pictures, and Cine1 Studios have produced the film.
The Central Board of Film Certification rated the film ‘A’, and it has nearly a three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Reports expect Animal to generate $5 million on its opening day to mark the biggest opening in Ranbir Kapoor’s career.

Through online advance booking for day 1, Animal has already sold over 6,000 tickets within 9-10 hours. These ticket sales are estimated to generate around $22 thousand in gross (excluding blocked seats). This positive response shows that this Ranbir Kapoor-starrer will enjoy a terrific release.
The official advance booking for the film will begin in India from Sunday, November 26, onwards. However, advance bookings in the US began early and have already sold over 3,200 tickets in 206 locations.
Released in 2018, Ranbir Kapoor‘s Sanju amassed $4 million on day one and ultimately collected nearly $41 million in India. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) opened with $2 million and collected a total of nearly $22 million in India, while Besharam (2013) made $2 million on its opening day. His last two releases, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (2023) and Brahmastra (2022) made $1 million and $4 million on day one, respectively.
The premise of Animal revolves around a brutal underworld filled with bloodshed. It follows a strained relationship between a father and a son where the violent nature of the underworld compels the son to turn into a psychopath. The film is set to release in five languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
