Deadline reports that director Joe Begos‘ new horror thriller Dragged Into Sunlight has announced its principal cast, which includes Dora Madison (Everybody Wants Some!!), Tru Collins (Insecure), and Rhys Wakefield (True Detective).
Madison will play a brilliant painter who’s facing the worst creative block she’s ever encountered. In an attempt to find inspiration, she finds herself drawn into a world of drugs, sex, and murder in the sleazy underbelly of Los Angeles.
Begos made his film debut with the 2014 alien abduction slasher Almost Human. The film premiered as a Midnight Madness selection at the Toronto International Film Festival back in 2013. His follow-up, the revenge thriller The Mind’s Eye, premiered at TIFF two years later, eventually winning Begos the Best Horror Director at Fantastic Fest that same year.
Like his prior two films, Dragged Into Sunlight will be shot on 16MM film, and use practical special effects.
