Twisted indie slasher Dolly Deadly stabs its way to DVD/Blu-ray August 23rd
Writer/director Heidi Moore and co-writer Cassandra Sechler’s upcoming subversive slasher saga Dolly Deadly has been said to have the sheen of a Troma film as directed by John Waters. And while those not-so-strange creative bedfellows are certainly present in its DNA, Dolly Deadly feels a lot more…dangerous.
The film tells the tale of a thoroughly mentally messed up trailer park-dwelling kid (Justin Moore) who cites his icky doll collection as his only friends on the world. When the going gets tough, the deranged lad dons a doll mask and brutally murders anyone who displeases his warped sensibilities.
Non-stop gore, surreal dream sequences, a rouges gallery of unsavory eccentrics, day-glo color schemes and delightfully hand-made special effects serve as the hooks for this totally batshit crazy indie shocker that has slowwwwly amassed a pack of admirers on its festival run,
Dolly Deadly will be available on Blu-ray/DVD combo from LCFilmsOnline, Amazon.com, and Vimeo On Demand August 23rd.
The film will also be available through major retailers and VOD venues later this year.
