Have you seen THE NEON DEMON yet?
Nicolas Winding Refn’s singular masterpiece (read our drooling review here) is still splashing its ample fluids and glitter across screens everywhere. But not for long. It’s miraculous that such a challenging work of dark art found its way into fairly wide theatrical release in this day and age to begin with, when distributors place such little value in modestly budgeted, unconventional films. And with that, despite critics generally responding to the film and the buzz vibrating on high, domestic box office is tepid and there’s no doubt that THE NEON DEMON will be exiting stage left soon and making its way to digital.
So…see it now, if you have yet to do so. Because THE NEON DEMON is most assuredly a theatrical experience.
