SAW sequel director to exec produce new Japanese horror miniseries.
Variety reported this morning that the Japanese arm of streaming service Hulu has picked up the rights for executive producer Darren Lynn Bousman‘s new 6-part horror miniseries CROW’S BLOOD.
CROW’S BLOOD is the brainchild of Japanese girl-band guru Yasushi Akimoto and casts HKT48 (a popular J-girl band) member Sakura Miyawaki as as mysterious girl whose presence at an all-girl’s school sets off a wave of inexplicable events and terror. Sound okay to us!
The show was written by Clint Sears and is being co directed by Bousman’s long time cinematographer Joseph White. It’s produced by Sean E.Demott of Execution Style Entertainment
Hulu Japan aims to start streaming the series in July. No word yet as to international rights but we’ll keep you informed.
