Eerie Exclusive Clip from A HAUNTING IN CAWDOR

SHOCK reveals a creepy clip from new ghost story A HAUNTING IN CAWDOR.

Opening today in theaters and On Demand from Uncork’d Entertainment is writer/director Phul Wurtzel’s genuinely creepy ghost story A HAUNTING IN CAWDOR.

The movie stars THE PRINCESS BRIDE favorite Cary Elwes (best known to horror freaks from his turn in SAW) as Lawrence, a failed actor running a run down theatre in Cawdor, forced to stage amateur productions with young parolees. One of these jailbirds is Vivian, played by AMERICAN HORROR STORY’s Shelby Young, whose arrival starts a terrifying series of events that brings Lawrence’s secret past to the present. After Vivian views an old taped stage production of Macbeth, a force of evil is unleashed which soon turns its sights on her. With the help of Roddy (Michael Welch), a local outcast, Vivian sets about trying to discover who the supernatural killer on the tape is before she becomes the next victim.

Don’t dismiss A HAUNTING IN CAWDOR as just another indie spook show. It’s actually a very innovative, stylish and scary little film.

SHOCK has this exclusive clip to share, one that proves that Wurtzel is taking his cues from classic cinema. The images here remind me of the distorted hallucination sequences from Roger Corman‘s legendary Poe films

Have a look.
