Cult film legend joins cast of new horror flick AYLA.
Word just wormed ’round these parts that beloved actress, author and all-around awesome human Dee Wallace (THE HOWLING, CUJO) has joined the cast of GUT director Elias’ upcoming quasi-folk horror film AYLA.
The film begins production in Washington state this month and also stars the amazing Tristan Risk (AMERICAN MARY, THE EDITOR, FRANKENSTEIN CREATED BIKERS), Nicholas Wilder (GUT), Sarah Schoofs (PHOBIA), D;Angel Midili (THE INVOKING), Bill Oberst Jr. (CIRCUS OF THE DEAD) and Andre Sensenig (WE ARE STILL HERE).
AYLA centers on Elton, a man haunted by the mysterious death of his 4-year-old sister, who brings her back to life thirty years later as an adult woman with dire consequences.
Sounds dark and maybe even a bit dangerous. Count us in.
No word as to what role Dee will play. But she’s in good company and if the film’s lush, erotic poster is any indication as to the director’s intent, this could be something really delicious.
